Running the Built-in Archive Report

The Archive Report is a built-in feature of Pulse Dashboard that lists the number of records, by file and by year, in your Macola® database. It is the first step toward having Macola® run at optimal speed: once you can see where the volume is, deciding what to archive becomes easy.

Steps

1. From the main screen, click the Administration menu at the top of the screen.
2. Choose Tools → Archive Report.
3. Click the Refresh Report button at the top right of the screen.

The report may take a few minutes to run — longer on larger databases — so this is a good moment for a coffee.

What to do with the results

Export the finished report to Excel and email it to our team for a no-cost analysis. Based on experience with many other Macola® installations, we will come back with recommendations for purging or archiving unneeded data.
